Introduction From taking charges to hard tackles, athletes are familiar with the pains that alert their bodies of injury. Although uncommon, cardiac issues rarely have warning signs. From the collapse of NBA star Reggie Lewis to the recent passing of Zeke Upshaw during a NBA G-league game, the discussion of avoiding sudden cardiac death continues on.
