This work analyzes, from the perspective of Folkcommunication, how the Cultural Manifestation Aruenda da Saudade contributes to Folkturismo and Local Development in the Municipality of Pitimbu - PB. We use qualitative research based on a case study of cultural manifestation. To obtain the data, interviews with semi-structured script, observations and photographic records were used. The research results showed that the Folkturismo strategies used by Aruenda da Saudade, besides promoting tourism, have contributed to the consolidation of the sense of belonging, identification and appreciation of the local culture, income generation for artisans and the consequent promotion of local development.
