EnglishThe aim of this study is to quantify the sediments transported in confluence environments in the Teles Pires River, downstream of the Colider Mato Grosso Hydroelectric Power Plant. A bibliographical survey was carried out in books, magazines, scientific articles, among others, and field work was carried out to identify and describe the area, sediment collection and hydrodynamic variables for flow calculation, laboratory analysis for the fractionation of the material by pipetting method and sanding for sand classification. The data demonstrate that confluence environments, Non-Denomination I and Matrinxa River have the capacity to transport sandy sediments. Thus, through the granulometric analysis, the capacity and the sediments transported and deposited by them were inferred. It is worth emphasizing the need to conserve the vegetation cover of the basin, because the more degraded, the more sediments will reach the river channels, influencing the quality and quantity of the water. portuguesO presente estudo teve como objetivo quantificar os sedimentos transportados em ambientes de confluencia no rio Teles Pires, a jusante da Usina Hidreletrica de Colider, Mato Grosso. Foram realizados levantamentos bibliograficos em livros, revistas, artigos cientificos entre outros e trabalho de campo para reconhecimento e descricao da area, coleta de sedimentos e das variaveis hidrodinâmicas para o calculo de vazao, analise em laboratorio para o fracionamento do material pelo metodo de pipetagem e peneiramento para classificacao das areias. Os dados demonstram que os ambientes de confluencia, Sem Denominacao I e rio Matrinxa tem capacidade de transportar sedimentos arenosos. Assim, por meio das analises granulometricas inferiu-se a capacidade e os sedimentos transportados e depositados pelos mesmos. Vale ressaltar a necessidade da conservacao da cobertura vegetal da bacia, pois quanto mais degradada, mais sedimentos chegarao aos canais fluviais, influenciando na qualidade e quantidade da agua
