Resumo

Procrastination is the inclination to postpone or delay performing a task. Graduate students face challenges during their academic studies or when working through their thesis process, which affects their performance. This research aims to develop a tool that helps the graduate students to manage their time by using the Pomodoro technique. The Pomodoro technique suggests 25 min of studying, following five minutes break. Moreover, the tool calculates the required time to complete a subject or assignment considering the exam date or the assignment due date, the complexity of the material and how many materials to study. Furthermore, to avoid wasting time, the tool suggests resources based on the uploaded materials, for example, In the case of reading a paper related to your thesis, the tool suggests similar papers based on the keywords or the title of the current paper you're reading. Finally, if the student procrastinates, the tool senses delaying and warrens the student to take immediate action.
