ResumoThe approach of this article is reIated to my master thesis in Fine Arts, on the Brazil's landscape painting focusing, specifically, the vision of the Brazilian forest. In Brazil, landscape become an object of study since the arrival of the French masters with the Artistic Mission of 1816. The implantation of the official education on Fine Arts during the XIXth century, will be the impulsion factor fo a new visuality and the afirmation of the gender. Georg Grimm, the German teacher and his disciple Antonio Parreiras: two names strongly related to the landscape painting will be closer evaluated in this context.
