Resumo

This study aims to establish a reflection on the theory of carnivalization by Mikhail Bakhtin in the analysis of the work "Reinações de Narizinho", by the Brazilian author Monteiro Lobato.This is an extremely relevant topic to be discussed, since Monteiro Lobato describes in this work a place called "Yellow Picapau site" as a space where are integrad elements that can be compared to those present in the carnival of the Middle Age and Renaissance and allow to discuss the exposed in the theory of Bakhtin.The discussion seeks to contribute to studies on carnivalization, one of the main themes discussed by Bakhtin.
