This article aims to present a study of a possible centrality in the neighborhood of Vila Furquim, located in Presidente Prudente -SP, pointing out its urban characteristics and portraying the definitions of such concepts together with their consequences in the urban and social spheres.For that, in situ surveys, documentaries and descriptions were carried out in addition to bibliographical research, in order to better understand.The zoning of the neighborhood and the master plan were also analyzed.In this aspect, the types of land use and occupation that influenced the development of such centrality were considered, taking into account the local history, the resident population and all other factors that could benefit this possible aspect, debating its centralizing potential for a neighborhood considered marginalized.
