Resumo

This article presents a set of proposals for teaching performance in the context of teaching indigenous history in public schools in Marajo Island, Para State, Brazil. These are propositions of the students of the Degree Course in History of the Teacher Training Program (Parfor), in the municipality of Sao Sebastiao da Boa Vista, which value the indigenous experience in the process of building national history and in the affirmation of values and social and work experiences that guide the way of life of the populations residing in Para. The proposals were built during the activities of the discipline “Indigenous History and Indigenism”, which sought to understand the formation of indigenism as a field of historical and indigenous history as a field of reflection for the development of classroom experiences.
