ResumoThe circular polarization ${P}_{\ensuremath{\gamma}}$ of the 279-keV $\ensuremath{\gamma}$ ray in $^{203}\mathrm{Tl}$ and the 401-keV $\ensuremath{\gamma}$ ray in $^{75}\mathrm{As}$ has been measured using a Compton polarimeter and a current-measuring technique. The result for $^{203}\mathrm{Tl}$ is ${P}_{\ensuremath{\gamma}}=(2\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}5)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}6}$. For $^{75}\mathrm{As}$ evidence for a nonzero circular polarization, ${P}_{\ensuremath{\gamma}}=(\ensuremath{-}0.6\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.2)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}4}$, is found. The role of the electron-capture bremsstrahlung in the case of $^{75}\mathrm{As}$ is discussed.
