Educação escolar como espaço de disputa cultural na Guiana Francesa

ResumoPretende-se dar visibilidade a historia de criacao, as iniciativas e as acoes pedagogicas desenvolvidas pela Associacao Kopena, fundada em 2017, na cidade de Caiena, Guiana Francesa, por intermedio da metodologia denominada de “suporte ludico”, tendo como estrategia de acao o Atelier Yana-Dolls – oficina com bonecas negras visando a promocao do debate etnico-racial nas escolas. A metodologia utilizada e de cunho etnografico voltado a educacao. A coleta de dados empiricos ocorreu atraves da entrevista semiestruturada. O estudo revelou uma sociedade guianesa plurietnica, multicultural e complexa, alem de apontar para a necessidade de tornar mais evidentes os marcadores historicos e os legados culturais amerindios e afro-crioulos que forjaram na Guiana uma populacao sincretica – e nao dupla – presente no curriculo oficial das escolas. Abstract The intention of this work is to give visibility to the history of creation, initiatives and pedagogical actions developed by the Kopena Association, founded in 2017 in the city of Cayenne, in French Guiana, through the methodology called “playful support”, taking as its strategy of action the Atelier Yana-Dolls - workshop with black dolls to promote ethnic-racial debate in schools. The methodology used is ethnographic in nature, focused on education. The collection of empirical data took place through the semi-structured interview. The study showed a multiethnic, multicultural and complex Guyanese society, as well as the need to make more evident the historical markers and cultural legacies of Amerindians and Afro-Creoles that forged in Guyana a syncretic - and not double - population present in the official curriculum of schools.
