ResumoHot and cold: on quilombola school education and chemistry education.This paper aimed to discuss ways and possibilities for Chemistry Teaching focused on Quilombola School Education,presenting the design planning and development of a pedagogical intervention designed to establish a link between traditional knowledge and school scientific knowledge in Science / Chemistry classes.This work was developed in public schools of the Morro de São João quilombola communities in the State of Tocantins and Vão de Almas in the Kalunga territory in Goiás and has characteristics of a participating research.Semistructured interviews were carried out with quilombola community griots and plans for pedagogical interventions for the teaching of Chemistry were elaborated from such interviews.Our results show that it is possible to establish this relationship between Chemistry teaching and traditional knowledge so that students take ownership of the former and can value the latter.
