Reflections concerning the women’s performances in Marina Colasanti’s short stories, as seen by children, through a symbolic reading of their roles. For this purpose we will make an approach to the tale “Longe como o meu querer” (1997), from Marina’s homonymous book, which issues some elements of traditional narratives ”“ such as the myth and the fairy tales, among others ”“ inserting symbolic variants for the specification of the reader’s view in addition to new dialogues and significances in her literary creation.
