The general objective of this research is to show students the importance of the Piracuruca River and the main forms of use and conservation, as a means to promote environmental awareness for the environmental conservation of water resources in the municipality. Being developed mainly through a field activity consisting of direct contact with the studied environment, where students will be able to see the different ways of using water resources and the problems caused by the inappropriate use of the waters of this river. The research will be divided into three stages, the first concerns planning, where a project must be drawn up aimed at the development of activities that will be carried out along the field wing, in this phase the schedule and points that should be defined will be defined. be visited by students. Knowledge of the characteristics, forms of use and conservation of water resources in the municipality should support the development of the necessary aspects to acquire knowledge about environmental education, thus allowing the use and conservation of water resources, in this particular case the Piracuruca river, making students aware of the importance of the river for the development of the city both in the economic area, as well as for human development.
