ResumoIt presents a reading of the Contemporary Brazilian narrative Noite dentro da noite -uma autobiografia (2017), by Joca Reiners Terron, questioning the aporetic relations beetween language, experience and writing. The hypothesis ins that the protagonist´s lack of memory and his muteness are a strategy for a metalinguistic exercise on the literary writing, pointing to the necessity of forgetting rather than memory. There is also the problem of Literature´s ambiguities, embodied in a mysterious inhum creature, associated with a discourse on the conditons of the writer in the present time.It alludes to the permanence of evil, violence in Brazilian history as transfigurated by Terron´s imagination.
