ResumoThis paper aims to investigate the space-time of preschool children in the classroom, through day/night, moon phases and seasons. To this end, three interview schedules were included, one for each event, observations and recording activities of the Sun and Moon during six months, as well as a visit to the planetarium. The methodology used was mixed, quanti and qualitative, using a phenomenological approach as a research method and, as instruments for data collection, the audiovisual records of the interviews, children’s drawings and notes from the teacher’s logbook about the observations. The logbook and interviews were studied through the textual discursive analysis. The analysis of students’ drawings is based on the theory of the phases of children’s drawing. The results indicate that the teaching of astronomy shall be carefully adjusted in the kindergarten age group, being of great relevance, since the children already carry a load on the processes related to their experiences.
