ResumoThis investigation is the result of a monograph that addresses an analysis of three pop songs sung by female artists in the year 2018.In this context, this article has the objective of investigating the female empowerment speeches in the songs Fall in Line (Christina Aguilera feat Demi Lovato), Strip (Little Mix feat Sharaya J) and God Is A Woman (Ariana Grande), along with their music videos, in order to identify possible messages of empowerment, both textual and visual, disseminated in the pop music industry. The analysis had as a theoretical framework the principles of Gender Studies and Systemic Functional Linguistics, specifically the transitivity system, which collaborated in the identification of verbal choices and the social actors.During the analysis, transitivity processes were found, such as material, mental, relational and verbal. Most are related to women and encourage them to fight, either for their freedom of expression, for the empowerment of their body or the empowerment of their sexuality. This work concluded that each song describes a different message of empowerment, the main objective of which is to praise women in most cases.
