This article had the objective to raise questions in respect of the modern Peirce's semiotic, having as focus their applicability in artistic productions, in particular, cinematographic works, as well as proposing a critical reflection about the formal doctrine of signs, in relation to the materiality of the objects.For that purpose, the relations of meaning are discussed, in adequacy to the specificities of the aesthetic elaboration of the movie Boi Neon (2015), of Gabriel Mascaro.
