ResumoQuantum simulation can provide insight into physical systems that are too complex for traditional computing techniques. A new proposal describes how a quantum simulator could be realized using laser-trapped circular Rydberg atoms, whose long lifetimes and stability are beneficial for simulations lasting up to seconds.
