Resumo

Assistive Technology emerges as an area of knowledge and research that has been revealed as an important horizon of new possibilities for the autonomy and social and educational inclusion of students with Disabilities.In this sense, the objective of the present work is to bring to light the newest one being produced in Assistive Technology used by people with Visual Disability that can be used in the classroom, as well as presenting the contributions of Assistive Technology (TA) as facilitators of the learning process of students with Visual Disability through innovative applications.For that, a literature review was developed, identifying the possibilities and difficulties of the incorporation of these applications in classrooms and their other implications.We observed that some obstacles hamper the best use and applicability of this Assistive Technology.In this way, it is imperative to think about a better use of these current Assistive Technology applications and to meet the needs of this students in order to guarantee a quality education.
