ResumoThe basis of the discussions presented in this text is the sense of playing Bumba meu boi and that are manifested in the geographies of the games of this party.The geographies are discussed as the constitution of feelings and belonging to the place.In this sense, it is argued that the essence of playing the Ox is in the experience with all the stages that form the cycles of the party.The objective is to discuss the geographies of the groups Rama Santa and Maioba, in Maranhão, through Heidegger's existential analytics.The methodological procedures include the qualitative approach of the geographic reality through interviews, direct observation.In the existential analytics, particularities of geographies stand out in the construction of the feeling of belonging, through which recognition as identity and
