Resumo

The neem (Azadirachta indica A.Juss.) it is an Indian tree belonging to the Meliaceae family that was introduced in Brazil in the 1980s. Despite being a species that has several uses, A. indica is an aggressive exotic invader. Studies show that a species is capable of releasing potential allelochemicals into the environment and causing damage to native biota. Aiming to register areas of biological invasion by A. indica in Northeast Brazil, in order to efficiently direct resources and resources to species control actions, the present work aimed to carry out an analysis of ecological niche modeling. For that, the georeferenced occurrence records of the species were recorded in the speciesLink database. The Bioclim algorithm was used for analysis. The results shown by A. indica show susceptibility to biological invasion in all northeastern states. Therefore, we do not recommend planting species in the region and we suggest replacing the species in urban afforestation with forest essences from each location.
