Resumo

The building for passenger terminal at Ribeirao Preto Airport was designed to rescue the flight experience, being a model for a new airport model type less known in Brazil: the hub-and-spoke. The city of Ribeirao Preto was chosen due to its strategic site between the regions of Southwest of State of Minas Gerais, Midwest Region and South Region, serving as an alternative airport for domestic flight connections, preventing the overload of airports in Brazilian capital cities. With capacity for 3 million-passenger/year, this airport terminal seeks to interact with its users and provide support to connecting passengers with arrivals and departures areas at different floors, leisure areas, services areas and temporary accommodations all arisen from the hub.
