RESUMO: Este artigo busca estabelecer uma discussao acerca da relevância das memorias traumaticas de Lorene e Ana Clara como um artificio de construcao identitaria feminina no romance As meninas, de Lygia Fagundes Telles. Tem como foco, assim, a relacao dessas protagonistas com seus medos gerados no passado e reatualizados constantemente por suas memorias afetivas, desencadeadas pela relacao de seus corpos com suas experiencias presentes. Neste sentido, o corpo da mulher e abordado como um tradutor de sensacoes e reminiscencias que corrobora para a construcao do seu olhar sobre o mundo e sobre si mesma num processo de construcao identitaria regido pela constante relacao entre passado e presente. Neste âmbito, para fundamentar esta argumentacao, foram contempladas as seguintes bases teoricas: estudo de identidade (HALL, 2000), de memoria (BENJAMIM, 19885), da “compulsao a repeticao” (FREUD, 1969) e da relacao do individuo com a casa como ninho (BACHELARD, 1978). Desta forma, acredita-se que este trabalho contribua para um analise sociologica da relacao entre obra e contexto ditatorial brasileiro e, ao mesmo tempo, exprima como o feminino se desenvolve e se metaforiza dentro de um contexto de medo e de violencia. ABSTRACT: This article seeks to establish a discussion about the relevance of traumatic memories of Lorene and Ana Clara as a feminine identity construction artifice in the novel The girls of Lygia Fagundes Telles. It focuses thus the relationship of these protagonists as their fears generated in the past and constantly updated for their emotional memories, triggered by the ratio of their bodies with their present experiences. In this sense, the woman's body is taken as feelings translator and reminiscences corroborating for the construction of its gaze on the world and on itself in an identity construction process governed by the constant relationship between past and present. In this context, to support this argument, the following theoretical background were considered: identity study (Hall, 2000), memory (Benjamin. Thus, it is believed that this work will contribute to a sociological analysis of the relationship between work and Brazilian dictatorial context and at the same time, express how the female develops and metaphors itself within a context of fear and violence.
