A tripartição da retórica no cinismo de Diógenes de Sínope

ResumoCynicism was notable in ancient times for being a school marked by χρeῖαι. They constitute a certain historical, literary and philosophical value because they narrate the way of life of the cynical philosophers. When looking at χρeῖαι it is possible to find a very peculiar way of doing philosophy – by way of humor. Diogenes, using a unique rhetorical device, implements what we call laughter pedagogy, a way of conveying the school's philosophical principles by using comics. This article proposes an analysis and structuring of Diogenes' performance rhetoric through χρeῖαι.
