ResumoThe conquest of women for the right to experience the sport in all its nuances, was due to the result of struggles that in many cases were circumscribed to the life trajectory of athletes in solitary pioneering and protagonist actions.With this panorama in view, this article aims to narrate the pioneering and leading actions in the journey of the Olympic judoka Soraia André.The instrument for presenting this journey is the biographical tale The Black Kimonomethodological heuristics that illuminates literary images inspired by the apprehension of the athlete's autobiographical narrative.The biographical tale presented in the body of this work, illuminates the imaginary constituted around a Brazilian black judoka, who challenged and transgressed the hegemonic paradigms present in the sport, configuring and enhancing the process of struggle for the participation and representation of women in the sports field.Poetic prose scripting also brings the Olympic judoka's life trajectory closer to the imaginary of the hero's myth journey.
