ResumoRESUMO: O documentario Fahrenheit 9/11 (2004) foi escrito e dirigido por Michael Moore, tendo como tema os eventos de 11 de setembro. O documentario aborda as causas e consequencias dos atentados, critica a postura do entao presidente George W. Bush ao conduzir as questoes de seguranca e politica externa americanas, mostra como as pessoas reagiram aos eventos e os problemas enfrentados pela nacao. Este artigo abordara como Fahrenheit 9/11 faz uma re(a)presentacao do mundo historico, representando-o, moldando seu registro sob uma perspectiva e um ponto de vista distintos, tornando-se um importante propulsor de acirrados debates sobre a Historia da politica americana. Elencando questoes referentes a conceitos como verdade, representacao do real e resgate do passado historico, o artigo tem como objetivo analisar o carater ambiguo da interpretacao dos fatos. Ao inserir e subverter certas informacoes, o artista aborda a realidade de forma a re(a)presenta-la e nao a copia-la, apresentando multiplas perspectivas para a interpretacao de um fato historico. ABSTRACT: The documentary Fahrenheit 9/11 (2004) was written and directed by Michael Moore, having as its theme the events of September 11. The documentary addresses the causes and consequences of the attacks, criticizes the posture of the former president George W. Bush when dealing with the security issues and U.S. foreign policy, shows how people reacted to the events and the problems faced by the nation. This article will discuss how Fahrenheit 9/11 re-presents the historical world, representing it, shaping its records under a distinct perspective and point of view, becoming an important driver of lively debates about the history of American politics. Listing issues related to concepts as truth, representation of reality and the reevaluation of the historical past, the article aims at analyzing the ambiguous nature of the interpretation of the facts. When inserting and subverting certain information, the artist addresses the reality in order to re-present it, not to copy it, presenting multiple perspectives for the interpretation of a historical fact.
