ResumoIn Case C-264/19, the CJEU provides clarification on the interpretation of Art.8 Directive 2004/48/EC, thus on the right of the copyright holder’s right to acquire information about the origin and distribution networks of acts infringing his/her exclusive rights. By introducing the EU autonomous concept of “address”, the Court excludes the possibility of disclosing phone numbers, email and IP addresses of infringing users, unless explicitly allowed by national law.
