ResumoThe use of PBCM grafts to the maxillary sinus floor with secondary placement of Branemark implants was examined in 15 patients. There was a 100% success rate with the bone grafts and only mild morbidity. With a mean time of 12 months after prosthesis insertion, the success rate was 90% for individual sinus implants and 93% for nonsinus implants. There were no complications of consequence except implant loss. These results suggest that this technique may prove to be an effective means for managing implant patients with minimal bone between the maxillary sinus floor and the alveolar ridge.
