This article aims to revisit the Black Death and its effects in Europe, in view of new studies that, with more instruments, may better need this pandemic. We will also see how she can be considered today as one of the mothers of contemporary pandemics thanks to her genetic material. Finally, we look at important lessons we can learn from it.
