Three Liolaemus species are cited as new from La Rioja province. Two were found in a poorlyexplored area in the top of an isolated mountain system in the middle of the Dry Chaco andother from the eastern edge of a salt-pan basin in the southwest limit of the Chaco biogeographicformation. We also present an updated checklist of La Rioja lizards.
