Resumo

The present paper aims to examine how the Tribuna da Imprensa approached the conflict between Argentina and United Kingdom for the sovereignty of the South Georgia, Falkland and South Sandwich Islands, which took place between April 2 and June 14 1982. The conclusion is that Tribuna da Imprensa reported in unsigned journalistic material the versions of both sides of the conflict, in addition to underlining, above all, the Brazilian diplomatic initiatives.
