This paper presents a qualitative systematic review of the literature (SRL) on the implementation of CP strategies in food and beverage industries and the challenges in applying them, analyzing scientific articles from the last five years, from relevant bibliographic databases (Scopus, ScienceDirect, IEEE Xplore, SpringerLink) synthesized particularly in five proposed topics. From the results obtained, it is concluded that the implementation of cleaner production strategies in the food industry represents an opportunity factor for the sector, not only by combining its actions with the sustainable development objectives for 2030, but also by reducing operating costs and optimizing production lines.
