Abundância, frequência e densidade relativa da malacofauna da praia de Arroio Teixeira, Rio Grande do Sul

ResumoMonthly fluctuations in abundance, frequency, and relative density of four species of molluscs were determined during 12 months on the exposed sandy beach of Arroio Teixeira, RS, Brazil. Donax hanleyanus, with a relative annual density of 64,21%, and Mesodesma mactroides, with 32,95%, reached 100% frequency, being the most abundant species. Olivancillaria vesica auricularia represented 0,24% of the total number of individuals, with 91,67% frequency, and Buccinanops duartei represented 2,60%, with 83,33% frequency.
