ResumoThomas test to calculate flexion position of the hip in the arthrodesis sagittal plan This study analyzed 13 patients submitted to two forms of the Thomas test. All individuals were examined at the Orthopedics and Traumatology Department of Santa Casa Hospitals in Sao Paulo, with the goal of establishing the most precise test and compare it to the radiographic examination in order to determine if there is correlation between these measurements. The results showed that there is correlation between the clinical tests and the radiography, but there is more correlation in the test in which the hip flexes to the maximum range towar ds the thoracic wall, allowing a more effective rectification of the lumbar lordosis.
