Territorialização das políticas municipais de cultura: os eventos culturais em espaços livres públicos de Joinville-SC

ResumoThe valorization of public spaces and the restructuring of public cultural policies, in all spheres of government, especially the municipal ones, have stimulated the discussion about how the implementation of these cultural policies is reflecting in the urban landscape. Joinville is the case study, because presents an advanced public policies of culture, which articulate municipal public spaces, especially through the promotion of cultural events. This article proposes to delineate the relationship between the use of an open public space and the accomplishment of a cultural event, for this characterizes the municipal cultural sector and defines the Nereu Ramos Square as a study cut for field research that includes behavioral observations and interview with users of this space. The article presents some of the results obtained during masters research, which indicate a good acceptance of the municipal cultural policies and an enrichment of the public life of the square, by the presence of the events.
