ResumoNo presente estudo procurou-se analisar a relacao entre a performance e a educacao do corpo no contexto de uma manifestacao popular, no estado do Para. O objetivo e refletir sobre o corpo em seus aspectos culturais e simbolicos fundamentado no desenvolvimento da danca do Carimbo. Para tanto, realizou-se uma investigacao com base nos pressupostos metodologicos das ciencias filosoficas e sociais, combinando-se a analise de um espetaculo com obras de pesquisadores servindo como fonte de informacoes. Concluindo-se que no contexto artistico e estetico, e proporcionado diferentes olhares da realidade sociocultural que cerca os individuos; e das multiplicidades de simbolos que permeiam essas culturas. Palavras-Chave: Danca; Corpo; Educacao Abstract The present study sought to analyze the relationship between performance and body education in the context of a popular demonstration in the state of Para. The objective is to analyze the development of the Carimbo dance in its cultural dissemination process from the perspective of reflect on the body in its cultural and symbolic aspects. To this end, an investigation was carried out based on the methodological assumptions of social and philosophical sciences, combining the analysis of a show with works by researchers serving as a source of information. In conclusion, in the artistic and aesthetic context, different views of the socio-cultural reality surrounding individuals are provided; and the multiplicity of symbols that permeate these cultures.
