ResumoObservation on the Entomopliilous Poilination of Ifehanthus annuus L. in Viamão, RioGrande do Sul StateStudies conducted in Viamão, Rio Grande do Sul State, with one cultivar of oil-seed sunflower iJe,'ianthus annuus L., indicated that unbagged heads had significantly more developed seeds than bagged heads.The productivity obtained in unbagged heads was 52% higher that in bagged heads.Twenty three species ofbees were observed and their activity was highest when 90% ofthe heads were open.The peak of abundance was between nine and 10 AM.About 96% of total insects observed ou sunflowers heads were honey bees, Apis rne!hfèra L.
