Resumo

The Purpose of this paper is to evaluate and comparison in the transmission control protocol introduced in linux kernel 2.6. Tahoe and Reno are the classic TCP congestion control from the last decades but now there are many congestion control algorithm to improve them. In this paper simulation scenarios are carefully designed in order to investigate the output of Reno, Tohoe, and Vegas, High speed TCP, TCP westwood, TCP BIC, TCP Cubic. In order to investigate good output, fairness and friendliness provided by each of the algorithms the traffic grows exponentially and the service rate of the server decreases accordingly.
