The presentation is devoted to investigation of the problem of professional qualities of cinephiles and non-cinephiles in Russia. We made sociological investigation of 50 cinephiles and non-cinephiles in Russia (St. Petersburg). 25 people are cinephiles with the high level of involvement in cinema activities in Russia and 25 are not cinephiles. The main research method is semi-structured interview. The semi-structured interview was conducted to reveal the difference in professional qualities of cinephiles and non-cinephiles. Cinephiles have more developed decisiveness. Cinephiles demonstrate more high level of imaginary thinking and creativity. They are able to invent new things and find the solution where ordinary people would not look for it. They have in more extent ability to intuitively recognize the potential successful idea which is important in professional career. In contrast non-cinephiles has in less extent such professional qualities as courage, creativity, responsibility. They can in less extend respond quickly and make decisions in unforeseen situations. We made conclusion that personal professional qualities of cinephiles are more developed in comparison with non-cinephiles in Russia.
