ResumoThis article aims to identify the presence of subjectivities in the production of music videos that transit and establish relationships between communication circuits and contemporary art.The objects chosen for this purpose were the two music videos created for the song "Vardeldur", which belongs to the album Valtari of the Icelandic band Sigur Rós.In the analysis of the poetics related to the works, and by the search for commonalities in formal and audiovisual structures between these music videos and contemporary visual works, especially video art, concepts like 'automatization' and 'synesthesia' were discussed, applied the field of visual arts. The contrast of these two works that were based on the same music became possible to combine aesthetic and poetic investigations allied to art and technology.
