Memory, Trauma, and Testimony

An analysis of the confessional text by Ledo Ivo, one of the greatest Brazilian poets of the 20th and 21st centuries, highlighting the autobiographical status, in which the category of pretence, of fiction that creates a narrative identity falls. At the same time, the aim of this study is to establish the internal relationships between autobiography and the ‘truth’ of memory.
