RESUMO: Seguindo a trajetoria da personagem principal, Arandir, objetiva-se, neste trabalho, identificar e refletir sobre os modos como a ironia perpassa O beijo no asfalto, quais suas marcas, vestigios e funcoes para a significacao desse texto dramatico do teatrologo brasileiro, Nelson Rodrigues. Acredita-se que questionar, provocar e problematizar tudo que aparentemente e estavel sao os alicerces da ironia rodriguiana. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Nelson Rodrigues. O beijo no asfalto. Ironia. ABSTRACT: By following the trajectory of the main character Arandir try to reflect about the ways in which irony cut across O beijo no asfalto, which its marks, its traces and its functions to the significance of this dramatic text rodriguiano.
