Resumo

The standard of living of the population in any region is determined, among other things, by the presence and condition of its social infrastructure. The revealed disparities in the improvement of the rural and urban housing stock of the Stavropol Krai contribute to the outflow of the rural population to the cities. It was established that the primary role in the increased shortage of workers in mass professions in the region is played by the rapid decline in people working in agriculture. At the same time, the government of the country and the region is taking several measures to improve the rural areas. Special programs were developed and are being implemented to create decent living conditions and popularize the rural lifestyle. However, the state cannot fully provide the population with all social components of the quality of life. Therefore, it is proposed that some of these functions be taken on by agricultural organizations that will be interested in retaining personnel, participating in charity, and forming a special attitude towards themselves from society and the state. In general, the social infrastructure of the rural areas of the Stavropol Krai is formed under conditions of unstable funding, which indicates the need to improve the forms and methods of managing its development.
