Resumo

Education is recognized as an instrument of human development and development. Being an instrument for the creation of human rationality, it offers society advances in social transformations. With this in mind, the present work intends to study the concepts about education and its relation with rights, the proposal of theEducational Pact by Pope Francis and the relations with continuing education. The text essentially has the nature of a bibliographic review, in which it collects and studies thethoughts contained in articles, books and texts available. As much as society advances in its relational development with the world and between individuals, it is still perceivedthat education constitutes an instrument of socialization and a path for transformation. The hypothesis raised is the list of concepts about education, rights, the Educational Pact and the continuing education of teachers and whether it is possible to achieve a social transformation for the challenges identified by neoliberalism. The theoretical framework that marks the work is based on emancipatory thinking and integral humanism,in which the human person is the agent and the end of social transformation. Finally, it is concluded that the dedication and attention to the continuing education of the teacher is of paramount importance for the construction of the concept of global village, where people take care of each other and together achieve social transformation.
