Resumo

Empirical scholarship, including many statistical studies, suggests that civil war often entails increased levels of human rights abuse. But barely asked question is that “Do Human rights violations escalated the intolerance and in the worst case, armed ethnic conflict?”The objective of this essay to study the link between Human rights violations especially denial of group rights caused the ethnic conflict in Sri Lanka. This study is outlined in a human rights based framework.
