Resumo

Due to social isolation and intra and interpersonal tension, in work and study environment, Brazilian University Extension, even in its incipient stage, shows the demand for psychophysical balance. The program "Cultures of Well-Being: Meditation, Yoga, Culture of Peace and Human Rights” aims to respond to this gap, share experiences and verify what is in common among these themes. Guided by the ethnographic method and by the Anthropological concept of Culture and Body Techniques, it held 60 hours of theoretical classes and socio-educational experiences through the subject Training in Social Sciences, at Federal University of Rondônia in partnership with the Cultural Association for Development of Convicted People. It was positively evaluated and resulted in promoting the culture of peace, the harmonic sociability, and effective teaching-learning of body techniques and ethical systems of different “cultures of well-being” that have in common cultural artifacts that aim at life considering socio-environmental and psychophysical balance.
