espanolPor el metodo de trazas de fision se dataron algunos plutones de las Cordilleras Central y Occidental de Antioquia. En el Stock de la quebrada Tahami, cerca a Sucre, el Stock de La Union y el Porfido de Ancon se obtuvieron edades en el rango Cretacico-Paleogeno, las cuales se deben considerar como minimas. Estos cuerpos intrusivos probablemente pertenecen al plutonismo intermedio que afecto a la Cordillera Central durante el Cretacico y que esta caracterizado principalmente por el Batolito Antioqueno. El pequeno stock de Samarcanda, que aflora en la carretera Medellin-Santa Elena-Rionegro, arroja una edad cretacica tardia de 88 Ma que es considerablemente mayor que la obtenida para muestras del Batolito Antioqueno por este metodo. La composicion granitica bimicacea, asi como la presencia de abundante granate le confieren algunas caracteristicas de pluton tipo S que lo diferencian de las tonalitas tipicas del Batolito Antioqueno, pudiendo tratarse de un cuerpo mas antiguo y con un origen diferente.Para el Stock de El Cerro, cerca a Frontino, se obtuvo una edad de 16,7 Ma que indica que este cuerpo pertenece al cinturon que intruyo al eje de la Cordillera Occidental durante el Mioceno. EnglishSeveral plutons of the Central and Western Cordilleras were dated using the fission-track method. The Quebrada Tahami Stock, near the town of Sucre, the La Union Stock, and the Ancon Porphyry yield Cretaceous-Paleogene ages; these should be considered as minimum ages for the cooling of the plutons after intrusion. The bodies probably belong to the Cretaceous plutonic belt found in the Central Cordillera, which is characterized by the large Antioquian Batholith. For the small Samarcanda Stock, which crops out in the Medellin-Santa Elena-Rionegro highway, an age of 88 Ma was found; this age is considerably older than those found in the Antioquian Batholith by this method.A bimicaceous granitic composition, as well as the presence of abundant garnet, impart some characteristics of Stype pluton to this body that distinguish it from the typical tonalites of the Antioquian Batholith, so it may be an older body formed by a different process.For the El Cerro Stock, near the town of Frontino, an age of 16.7 Ma was obtained, indicating that the body belongs to the plutonio belt that intruded the Western Cordillera during Miocene times.
