ResumoAbstract Dekalb BR64 was planted Jun 29 at the University of Georgia Experiment Station, Oconee Co. The soil type was Appling sandy loam. A randomized complete block design was used with 3 row plots x 8.5 m long x 1 m wide x 1 m alleys, 5 replicates. Granules applied at planting time in a 15 cm band over the row and incorporated in the soil ca 3 cm deep. All plants in each plot were examined for lesser cornstalk borer damage 24, 31, 41 and 48 days after planting. Yield of dry matter (silage) was determined 140 days after planting by harvesting all plants in each plot.
