Resumo

This essay aims to take stock of the reception of Marxism in the Brazilian legal field, presenting its initial trends, which resulted in the legacy of critical theories of law, as well as the more current ones, with the rebirth of the field of law and Marxism, by through its three new poles. Finally, the current dilemma of this debate is presented, namely, the challenge of praxis (the junction between theory and practice).
