Resumo

In Fenix Renascida and Postilhao de Apolo, there are numerous poems generally entitled as “portraits”, mostly belonging to the epideictic subgenre, and composed through precepts of ars laudandi. In this paper, I focus on the portraits of the donna in Petrarchan fashion, aiming at specifying the discursive techniques employed in their poetic body. Finally, I present an analysis of a comic poem in which a young lady is portrayed in metaphors of sweets, counterfeiting the donna model.
